About

The Bio of David Rynhart

David Rynhart is an experienced musician who has spent many years developing skills in a wide variety of genres. He began playing guitar and piano by learning Pop and Classic Rock music as a teenager, but then developed an interest in Classical piano. He studied piano at Ashland University in Ohio. Soon, he was drawn into other forms of music. He became immersed in Irish music, and learned to play the Irish flute. He performed extensively in the Denver area and eventually moved to Ireland. While in Ireland, he joined The Hot Club of Galway as a rhythm guitarist. This band played the music of Django Reinhardt and other Swing Jazz standards. In Galway he also began performing with a group of performance poets called The Voice and The Verse. Together, they toured throughout Europe and performed regularly in the Prague Fringe Festival, which was David's introduction to experimental theater.

In Chimney Choir, David began experimenting with electronic music and incorporating his eclectic music experiences in rock, folk, classical, and jazz into the band’s genre defying sound. Chimney Choir worked extensively in Denver’s diverse creative community. Initially developing theatrical music experiences of their own, they eventually collaborated with various performance groups to create music for ballet, circus arts, theater, and immersive performances. Some notable collaborations include Wonderbound, the Colorado Symphony, Frequent Flyers, Theater Artibus, and Rainbow Militia.

David enjoys playing solo, and incorporates his many influences into adding the right atmosphere and ambience into any event or situation. He can be seen performing regularly at The Gaylord of the Rockies, Casa Bonita, and The Sheraton, among other venues.
